Thank you to physicians in Abilene

We just want to publicly thank the physicians in our community for their generosity. So many times we are busy with the hustle and bustle of being busy that we fail to stop and say thank you to those who oftentimes go unnoticed for that extra mile they give to help others.

With that being said, on behalf of the Taylor County Social Services Department and the Taylor County Commissioners’ Court, we want to send a “special thank you” to the doctors and staff at the Presbyterian Medical Care Mission and the many physicians in Taylor County for the work they do to help those who are less fortunate. Unbeknown to many are the countless number of hours these doctors and their staff spend in assisting our citizens, through the Social Services office, in getting help with their medications.

Citizens served through the County’s Prescription Assistance Program are individuals with limited, low or no income and are individuals who have little or no prescription insurance. Taylor County is blessed and fortunate to have physicians who are willing to go the extra mile by assisting our agency in attaining these life-sustaining medications for our citizens.

To the Abilene Reporter-News reader and the citizenry of Taylor County, at your next medical appointment, please take the time and say, “Thank you,” to your doctor and the staff. For he or she might be one of the many physicians who’s helping your neighbor, family member or friend who has difficulty in obtaining necessary medications.

Be it known this day, that Taylor County Commissioners’ Court and the staff in the Social Services Department say to our many physicians, “Thank you for doing well and for a job well done.”
