Director of Spiritual Wellness
My name is Amy Wilson, and I began serving as the Director of Spiritual Wellness at the Medical Care Mission in mid-June. I’m a commissioned minister in the United Methodist Church, which means I’m working toward ordination and have been appointed by the bishop of the Northwest Texas Conference to serve in an extension ministry at the Mission.
I created this blog to encourage dialogue about the work we do here at the Mission — providing affordable health and dental care to low-income, uninsured families and individuals — and about the relationship between Christianity and social justice.
